Designing Ncourage Coaching: My Process for Creating a Stunning One-Page Website on Wix

When I was approached to design the website for Ncourage Coaching (https://www.ncouragecoaching.com/), I knew it had to be more than just a digital business card. It needed to reflect the warmth, professionalism, and transformative power of the coaching services offered. Since the client wanted a one-page website, the challenge was to create a seamless, engaging experience that conveyed all the necessary information without overwhelming the visitor. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at my process for building this website on Wix, entirely from scratch.


1. Understanding the Client’s Vision

Before I started designing, I had a detailed conversation with the client to understand their goals, target audience, and brand identity. Ncourage Coaching is all about empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth, so the website needed to feel inviting, inspiring, and trustworthy. Key objectives included:

  • Showcasing coaching services and programs.

  • Encouraging visitors to reach out for discovery calls or sessions.

  • Building credibility through testimonials and professional credentials.

This initial discussion helped me define the website’s structure and tone.



2. Planning the Layout for a One-Page Website Design

Since this was a one-page site, I had to carefully plan the flow of information to ensure it was easy to navigate and visually appealing. I broke the content into clear sections:

  • Hero Section: A welcoming introduction with a strong headline, a brief description of the coaching services, and a call-to-action (CTA) to encourage visitors to connect.

  • About Section: A personal introduction to the coach, highlighting their story, credentials, and approach.

  • Services Section: A concise overview of the coaching programs offered.

  • Testimonials Section: Feedback from past clients to build trust and credibility.

  • Contact Section: A simple way for visitors to get in touch.


3. Designing the Website

With the layout planned, I began designing the website directly in Wix, starting from a blank canvas. Here’s how I approached each section:

a. Color Scheme and Typography

I used a calming and professional color palette of soft blues, whites, and grays to evoke trust and serenity. For typography, I chose clean, modern fonts that were easy to read and conveyed a sense of approachability.

b. Hero Section

The hero section is the first thing visitors see, so I made it visually engaging. I used a high-quality background image that felt warm and inviting, paired with a welcoming headline and a brief description of the coaching services. I added a clear CTA button encouraging visitors to reach out for a discovery call.

c. About Section

In this section, I introduced the coach with a professional photo and a personal story. I highlighted their credentials, experience, and coaching philosophy to establish credibility and build a connection with potential clients.

d. Services Section

I created a clean and concise overview of the coaching programs offered. Each service was described briefly but effectively, focusing on the benefits and outcomes. I used icons and subtle design elements to make this section visually appealing and easy to scan.

e. Testimonials Section

To build trust, I added a testimonials section featuring feedback from past clients. I used a slider or grid layout to display the testimonials, ensuring they were easy to read and visually balanced.

f. Contact Section

I designed a simple yet effective contact section with a form, email address, and links to social media profiles. This made it easy for visitors to get in touch and connect with the coach.



4. Adding Functionality

A great website isn’t just about looks—it needs to function smoothly too. Here’s how I enhanced the website’s functionality:

a. Mobile Optimization

I ensured the website was fully responsive and looked great on all devices. Wix’s editor makes it easy to preview and adjust the design for mobile, so I spent time fine-tuning the layout for smaller screens.

b. SEO Optimization

To help the website rank well on search engines, I optimized the content with relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and alt text for images. I also ensured the site had fast loading times and clean code.



5. Content Creation

Content is king, so I worked closely with the client to craft compelling copy that resonated with their target audience. I focused on using clear, conversational language that highlighted the benefits of coaching and encouraged visitors to take action. I also incorporated keywords naturally to boost SEO.



6. Review and Revisions

Once the initial design was complete, I shared the website with the client for feedback. We went through a few rounds of revisions to fine-tune the layout, adjust the copy, and ensure everything aligned with their vision. Collaboration was key to making sure the final product met their expectations.



7. Launch and Post-Launch Support

After final approvals, I published the website and conducted thorough testing to ensure everything worked as intended. I also provided the client with basic training on how to update and manage the site using Wix’s intuitive editor. Additionally, I set up analytics to track the website’s performance and offered ongoing support for any future updates.



Final Thoughts

Designing the Ncourage Coaching website was a rewarding experience. By combining thoughtful design, user-friendly functionality, and compelling content, I was able to create a one-page website that not only looks great but also effectively serves its purpose.
